Is There an Official Joker 2026 Release Date?
No. Warner Bros. has not announced a Joker film with a 2026 release date. The most recent confirmed entry is Joker: Folie a Deux, which opened on October 4, 2024. Any page showing a specific 2026 date for a Joker movie is either guessing or repeating a rumor the studio has not confirmed.
What Is Confirmed So Far
- Joker (2019): released October 4, 2019, directed by Todd Phillips.
- Joker: Folie a Deux (2024): released October 4, 2024, with Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
- A third film: no title, no cast, and no date announced by Warner Bros. or DC Studios.
Because a third film has no announced production window, a 2026 date would require a script, a director, a cast, and a marketing campaign that do not exist in public view.

How to Verify a Joker 2026 Date
- Open the Warner Bros. Pictures press room and scan the release calendar for a dated entry.
- Check the studio's social accounts for a post that names the film and the day.
- Search Variety, Deadline, and The Hollywood Reporter for a report that cites a studio source.
- Look at the official Joker channels on YouTube, Instagram, and X for a teaser that ends with a date card.
- Read the IMDb listing, then treat it as a claim to confirm, not as proof.
- Check ticketing pages for the large theater chains once the claimed date is two months away. Showtimes appear only after a distributor books the film.
Red Flags That Point to a Fake Date
- The date appears only on aggregator blogs or fan pages.
- The post credits "leaks" or an unnamed insider.
- The poster is a fan edit or an image generated by software.
- The same date is given for several unrelated films.
- No trade outlet has covered the announcement.
What Happens If a Date Is Announced
A real announcement usually arrives with a title, a logo, and a short teaser, followed by trade coverage within the same day. Tickets go on sale weeks before opening, and theater chains post showtimes at that point. Until those steps happen, treat every Joker 2026 date as unconfirmed and plan around the two films that already exist.
